The new Pink/Circular Line of Metro do Porto will have four stations and three kilometres of track, connecting S. Bento to Praça da Liberdade and the latter to Casa da Música, serving Santo António Hospital, the Super Bock Arena – Rosa Mota Pavilion, the Maternal and Child Centre, Praça da Galiza and the colleges of Pólo do Campo Alegre. This line is the beginning of an Internal Ring Road that will connect to the remaining axes of the Metro network.
The construction of the Rose/Circular Line of Metro do Porto was adjudicated to the consortium Ferrovial/Aca, for a value of about 189 million Euros.
J. Soares Correia – Armazéns de Ferro, S.A. was the company selected for the turnkey contract of this work, which began in June 2021 and has an estimated duration of 42 months. J. Soares Correia, due to its years of experience and its technical capacity, will supply the concrete reinforcing bars, the reinforcement and the moulded walls, whose quantity is estimated to be around 25,000 tonnes.
